The Associated Press has just reported that House Bill 2167, which seeks to expand Oregon’s film incentive programs, has been voted out of the House Transportation and Economic Development committee.
The bill, which passed on a 6-0 vote, now heads for a joint tax credit review committee that will, in the words of the AP, “iron out key details including how much the program will cost.”
If one of your legislators sits on the Joint Committee on Tax Credits (don’t know who your legislators are? Find out here!) we’d urge you to take a moment to contact them and ask them to pass the bill out of the committee and onto the House floor for a final vote! In fact, if your legislators don’t sit on the committee, take a moment to contact them as well - and ask them to do what they can to help the committee members move the bill along!
